A visit to the dentist.
A visit to the dentist. "My near-death experience?"
Many moons ago, I was taken to the dentist when I was young.
In those days, the patient was given gas to put them out whilst the dental surgeon “did their thing.”
From memory, I think I must have been about seven years old at the time.
The mind can play tricks, but once I’d been “put under”, I imagined myself entering a dark cone, and bony hands were trying to catch hold of my floating body.
At the top of the pyramid, there was a shining light, and I was drifting upwards towards it.
I began reading about near-death experiences only years later and wondered if I’d had one.
Anyway, there are times when scary experiences can be put to good use.
One or two people have recently said, “I don’t know where you get your ideas from!”
When I wrote “Marooned“, a Sci-fi novel, a prequel to the Arcadia’s Children Series, I recalled the incident and incorporated it into the first chapter. See Video
