ARCADIA’S CHILDREN 5: SAMANTHA’S WAR by Andrew R Williams is an excellent sci-fi that had me engaged from the opening chapter. The threads of storytelling are so expertly woven it guarantees the attention of the reader. Skillfully constructed, this creative and imaginative continuing saga had me turning the pages from beginning to end. There’s also plenty of imagery in the writing style that makes you feel like you are right there in the story and that’s something I look for in a good book.
If you are a sci-fi fan looking for a well-written Y/A sci-fi fantasy with amazing characters and a solid plot then ARCADIA’S CHILDREN 5 will not leave you disappointed. Thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend it. A well-deserved five stars from me.

I would recommend reading the first book in the Arcadia’s Children series, Arcadia’s Children: Samantha’s Revenge to gain an understanding and a stronger bond with the characters…The previous installment is Arcadia’s Children 4: Exodus.
Arcadia’s Children 5: Samantha’s War is a detailed fast paced tale that engages the reader from the first page. Set in the 3rd person Samantha’s war gives the viewpoints of more than one character!
Williams has provided the reader with extracts and plenty of information about the characters and links to the previous installment. The writhing style has a good mixture of dialogue and description with an interesting plot and easy navigation from the titled chapter headings.
The character development of Arcadia’s Children 5: Samantha’s War is good. The characters are interesting and have a mixture of personalities….The reader is able to reunite with well liked characters and form bonds with new ones…

5.0 out of 5 stars A riveting series

This is the sequel to Pushley’s Escape, Samantha’s War is a nail biting continuation of the series. Yet again Mick Tarmy and his reinforcements come into play. Samantha remains the same old humanoid ruling by fear.
Does Samantha succeeds in her quest with her diabolical plans or not, does she manage to take out her enemies in the suicide missions she plans or is she captured by Mick Tarmy’s team remains to be seen.
Andrew takes us on an exiting & fast-paced ride and this sequel is a worthy addition to the Arcadia’s Children series. This leaves us wanting to know more, and I can’t wait to find out what happens next in this series.
As always, loved Andrew’s writing style, which makes me glued to the pages. The riveting series is a welcome bonus that’s refreshing when you want a breather from your hectic day.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great character development

And the action continues to grow in this, the 5th book of the series. Ending with a hint of another book. Action follows this budding series across the universe while universe keeps on intriguing me.
I have found this book more enjoyable than the previous book. Maybe it is because everything is beginning to make sense or because of the character development, but I enjoyed this book more.
Samantha started off as an insecure ‘person’ with no place, always on the run, but in book 5 she is stepping into her own. And owns it.
The author describes an adventurous story of alien invasion in a very vivid and convincing way that helps to turn the pages. Each character is drawn with great credibility and integrity, which makes this a great read.
A series I can recommend for any science fiction reader.
