Prequel to the Arcadia’s Children Series

Reviewer – Which line in Marooned jumped out at you?

My father was a wanted man, a war criminal, and if it hadn’t been for an underground movement who’d helped us escape, he would have been serving life imprisonment or given a death sentence

The plot is simple, the Empress of Incognita, a startship hits six mines and it is crippled. The wreck enters a wormhole to escape further bombardment. Its passengers are marooned on Arcadia. Mutiny and alien attacks follow. Bee Bee is an insecure teenager who was severely disfigured in an accident.  However, he realized that he has other attributes that could allow people to view him in a more positive light—namely, courage and risk-taking in adverse and dangerous circumstances. His father was a selfish, egotistical man who basically cares only for himself, but Bee Bee has a decent relationship with his stepmother, despite the fact that his father has a roving eye for another woman. Bee Bee finds himself, through the aid of a voice only he  hears in his dreams, responsible for saving the lives of others on his vessel as well as on the outside world.

Can Bee Bee stop the killing?

A shape-shifting mind-bending thriller that kept me hooked from the first chapter. Williams is now one of my favorite up-and-coming fantasy / science fiction authors and I’ll avidly await his future releases. The characters were fully developed which is something you don’t always find with smaller press publishing house authors. So much so that I’m sure I have missed out on some side-plot complexities on my first read, so I’ll be going back to reread in a while from now. I would definitely recommend giving this a read for any fans of the sci-fi / fantasy genres.

Another cracking read, as I’ve said before one of the best parts about these novels is the characters and Pushley (and the evil alien in his head) delivers in spades. A great continuation in what is becoming a great series that deserves all the love it gets!

Arcadia’s Children 5: Samantha’s War

She’s out for revenge after a failed deactivation attempt by her mysterious creator. Samantha’s War is a nail-biting continuation of the Arcadia’s Children Series. Find out if her diabolical plans finally succeed or if the fates have something else in mind for her & Walter Verex she sets out for revenge

REVIEWS

This is the sequel to Pushley’s Escape, Samantha’s War is a nail biting continuation of the series. Yet again Mick Tarmy and his reinforcements come into play. Samantha remains the same old humanoid ruling by fear.

Does Samantha succeeds in her quest with her diabolical plans or not, does she manage to take out her enemies in the suicide missions she plans or is she captured by Mick Tarmy’s team remains to be seen.

Andrew takes us on an exiting & fast-paced ride and this sequel is a worthy addition to the Arcadia’s Children series. This leaves us wanting to know more, and I can’t wait to find out what happens next in this series.

As always, loved Andrew’s writing style, which makes me keep coming back for more. The riveting series is a welcome bonus that’s refreshing when you want a breather from your hectic day.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great character development

And the action continues to grow in this, the 5th book of the series. Ending with a hint of another book. Action follows this budding series across the universe while universe keeps on intriguing me.
I have found this book more enjoyable than the previous book. Maybe it is because everything is beginning to make sense or because of the character development, but I enjoyed this book more.
The author describes an adventurous story of alien invasion in a very vivid and convincing way that helps to turn the pages. Each character is drawn with great credibility and integrity, which makes this a great read.
A series I can recommend for any science fiction reader.
